The Men from the Hill was (briefly) a four member group with myself, Adam Denard (vocals, guitar), Phil Robinson (vocals, guitar, hiiting things) and Roger Williams (harmonica, dhobra, washboard). It becam the three piece Terracists when Adam cruelly moved to Isle of Man (there are easier ways to leave a band).
The name derives from Alexandra Terrace, where Phil and Roger both live. Despite being inactive for long periods, the facebook page has a healthy number of regular visitors. I assume that most of these are from the police looking for terrorists hiding in plain sight.
The Terracists perform an eclectic mix of folk, country, blues, pop and originals. They were, for a time, the house band for The Poachers Bar in North Hykeham.
